The RuffNeck Playground is a high-quality basketball system designed for use on a playground. Durable O.D. galvanized schedule 40 tubing measuring 4.5" is used to make the post. This model's direct rim mount design means that the rim can be placed through the backboard of the unit when assembling the basketball system. The rim mount goes directly onto the post, and there is no stress on the backboard. When the unit is fully assembled, the post to backboard extension distance is 48".

Twin braces fastened to the neck of the post provide additional support to the backboard. You will find installing the backboard very simple, thanks to the "nose-cone" backboard mounting design. A through-bolt is used to permanently lock the nose-cone to the post. The post is buried 48" below the playing surface, which means there is no need to be concerned about wobbling when the system is being used by basketball enthusiasts.
