The RuffNeck III is a basketball system that is built to last. Galvanized schedule 40 tubing is the material used to make this model's post, which gives the unit a rust-resistant finish. The RuffNeck III will provide several years of enjoyment to basketball players of all ages and levels of skill. One unique feature of this unit is the direct rim mount design. It means that it can be mounted through the backboard and placed directly into the post. Backboard stress is not a factor when you choose the RuffNeck III for your playground needs.

A couple of tubular braces are fastened to the neck of the post to provide additional support to the backboard. Putting the RuffNeck III together is a relatively simple process, thanks to this product's "nose-cone" backboard mounting design. The post is buried 48" below the concrete on the playground, which means the system will be very stable once it is in place. Once the RuffNeck III is in place, you don't have the option or necessity of changing the rim height, as you do with some other models.

The RuffNeck III is equipped with a 36" x 54" acrylic backboard and a heavy duty flex goal. When it is fully assembled, the post to backboard extension distance is 48". With its galvanized tubing and supportive design this unit has the strength to stand up the harshest elements.

The delivery driver is not required to assist with unloading of the basketball goal from the truck. It is highly recommended to have four persons available for delivery of large goals, and a minimum of two people for lighter systems.
