The Legend Impervia was designed to withstand the rigors of a high level of use. Made for use in institutions, this unit's 6" square post is 3/16" thick. The one-piece steel post means that there is no chance of rust damaging joints, as happens with other models. Once the Legend Impervia is assembled, the post is buried 48" below the playing surface. You can add an optional ground sleeve to the package to make the post removable. Due to safety considerations, the post is set a full 66" behind the backboard.
This model is considered to be a fixed height basketball system. You can choose to position the extension arm to any level on the post you choose. Once you have done so, six 5/8" tensile bolts are used to position the arm in place. The distance from the post to the backboard measures 66". Add all-weather post padding or backboard padding as an additional safety feature, if desired.
