The Legend Excel was developed to stand up to the rigors of playground or institutional use. It is an extremely durable system that includes 6" square and 3/16" thick steel tubing. The post is set 66" behind the backboard for safety reasons. The post is buried 48" below the playing surface, and you do have the option of adding a ground sleeve to make the post removable.
The extension arm of the Legend Excel is attached to the post by six 5/8" tensile bolts. This unit is a fixed height system, but the extension arm can be bolted at any height along the post. The post to backboard extension distance is 66". For safety reasons, consider adding all-weather post padding or backboard padding to the Legend Excel to minimize the likelihood of player injury.
The Legend Excel is available in a Dual package with a second extension arm, backboard and rim. This means that more players can enjoy the game at once on the playground, at a recreation center, or in a park.
