This gusset pad is fashioned in a pyramid shape to hug the base of the basketball pole without slipping off or buckling. Its 2" thick foam pad is protected from the elements by a sewn vinyl cover, as well as the wear and tear associated with regular use by basketball players of various levels. Velcro is used to keep the pad firmly in place, and you have the flexibility to reposition the gusset pad if you need to when putting it on the base. You can also remove it quickly and easily, should that become necessary. Basketball players can focus on the drill, practice, or game they are involved in without being concerned about the hardware at the base of the basketball pole.
The FT77 Gusset Pad for 6" Crank Adjust Base Only is available as a separate item for those customers who only want to cover the baseplate, gussets & anchor bolts that make up a 6" EZ-Crank pole system. This product can also be used to cover the FT18 ground sleeve option, if desired. Customize your gusset pad by choosing from one of the 16 available colors, and make the padding reflect your school colors.
