The Gared Hoopmaster R54 Recreational Portable Basketball System is designed to fit into indoor courts that have severe space limitations. The backboard and base unit are reduced size and the extension is smaller that most Gared units. You still get a high-quality backboard and rim with this system.

If after taking measurements of your gym, you realized that you would have trouble fitting a full sized professional hoop system, you should stop and consider the Hoopmaster R54. The base unit has been reduced to 66 1/2" x 40 3/8". The backboard has also been reduced to 54" x 42". This economy-sized hoop hasn’t had its quality reduced. The backboard it still made of official ½" glass and the breakaway rim can stand up to any number of vicious dunks.

Storage and transportation are easy and can be handled by one person. The heavy-duty tension springs located in the base will assist you in lifting and lower the unit. You won’t need more than 50 pounds worth of force. A telescope locking bar with a safety locking pin will hold the unit in position. The unit is transported on 5" diameter swivel caster wheels with 2" non-marking polyurethane treads. There’s no need to worry about scratches or scuffs on your gym floor. The wheels are supported on steel roller bearings. The bearings have grease fittings to aid in internal lubrication. Once you’ve rolled your hoop into position, just pop it up and start playing.

Safety is important in any sport. That’s why the Hoopmaster R54 comes with 2" thick heavy-duty polyurethane foam that’s covered with a black 14-ounce tear-resistant, mildew-resistant vinyl. You don’t have to hold anything back when you’re playing on this hoop system.
