The Tempest Triumph competition portable basketball goal is the newest addition to First Team’s line of institutional-quality portables. It is designed for use in a fieldhouse, gymnasium or anywhere upper end, aggressive basketball is played. The Tempest has a base-to-backboard extension of 66 inches, which allows the base to sit comfortably off the court. The rim height is easily adjusted from 10 feet down to 6 feet. The Tempest can be quickly and easily moved, set up and adjusted by one person.
Heavy foam padding protects players on the front, sides and back of the base unit. A boom extension pad is also included. You can customize the base pad with free lettering upon request.
The Tempest is extremely stable. It comes with 300 pounds of steel ballast pre-welded into the base. An additional 720 pounds of standard size concrete blocks are added to the base during assembly. With over 1,000 pounds in the base alone, the Tempest will not tip over when players hang on the rim. Though rear hold downs are not necessary, they are available upon request. Choose the Tempest Triumph for installations where rear hold down kits are not wanted. If rear hold downs are desired, you have a choice of floating floor or standard floor installations.
